CHAPTER TEN

He Wasn’t in a Rush

JESUS NEVER HURRIED.

He didn’t tap his foot.
He didn’t say, “Come on, come on.”
He didn’t roll his eyes when someone took a little longer.

He moved slow enough to notice the hurting.
He paused when someone needed a breath.
He stayed longer when someone felt alone.

While everyone else chased the next big thing,
Jesus stayed right here.

Right now.
With whoever needed him most.

Because love doesn’t rush.
It waits.
