Jesus and the Weird Kids

JESUS LIKED THE weird kids.
The quiet ones.
The loud ones.
The ones who drew pictures during serious talks.

He liked the kids who asked too many questions.
The ones who made up silly songs.
The ones who didn’t always sit still.

He saw their sparkle.
He saw their heart.
He saw their realness.

And while other people said, “Be normal,”
Jesus said,

“Come sit by me.”

Because Jesus didn’t want perfect kids.
He wanted the ones being themselves.
