CHAPTER SEVENTY-SIX

What Comes After?

OKAY.
SO WE’VE
scrolled through the whole mess.
From cosmic farts to nuclear threats.
From chimp logic to microchips.
From cave drawings to TikToks.

Now what?

Here’s the truth no one wants to say out loud:

We don’t know.

And that’s terrifying.
But it’s also the most exciting part of all this.
Because it means the story isn’t over.

The timeline doesn’t end with a period.
It ends with a cursor blinking.

The old programs are glitching.
Nation-states are shaky.
Religions are adapting or fading.
Capitalism’s on update 27.4.1-beta and still crashing.
The planet’s running out of patience.
The internet fracked our attention span.
And now AI is learning faster than we are.

So we’re standing on the edge of… something.

Maybe it’s utopia.
Maybe it’s idiocracy.
Maybe it’s a mushroom cloud.

But more likely?

It’s something we haven’t named yet.

Because every leap in history looked like madness before it landed.
Agriculture looked like a bad diet.
Cities looked like disease pits.
Democracy looked like chaos.
The internet looked like cat memes.

And yet, we adapted.
We always do.

So what comes after?

Maybe…

A new kind of human. Augmented, hybrid, and post-biological
A new kind of society. Less geographic, more digital, fluid, and networked
A new kind of meaning. Not based on gods or nations, but shared narratives
A new kind of story. One we get to write together

The point isn’t to predict it.

The point is to build it.

To scroll forward with your eyes open.
To ask better questions.
To choose the story you want to live in and start typing.
