Its king? Croesus.
Famous for wealth, arrogance, and bad decisions.

Croesus heard Cyrus was rising.
So he attacked.

He countered. Fast.

Battles were fought.
Lydia’s capital Sardis fell.
Croesus was captured or spared, depending on the version.

Lydia was absorbed.
No mass executions.
No cities burned.
