CHAPTER FIVE

Opened

THE HEART CORE (Heart Chakra)

If the root is survival, and the sacral is feeling, and the solar plexus is power, then the heart chakra is where it all turns real.

Known as Anahata, it lives in the center of your chest, and it governs love, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, grief, connection, and truth with softness.

This is the emotional central hub of your inner galaxy.
This is what connects everything below to everything above.

It’s the bridge between body and spirit.

When it’s blocked, you feel guarded even if you smile a lot.
You trust people just enough to keep from getting hurt.
You struggle to receive love, even when it’s offered.
You offer love with terms and conditions.
You replay old heartbreak like a loop you forgot how to exit.

You love people, but from a distance.
You protect yourself so much that you accidentally isolate.

And if grief lives here?
It stays locked.
And it keeps leaking.

When it’s open, you don’t just love. You let love move through you.
You forgive. Not because it was okay, but because you refuse to stay poisoned.
You feel deeply, but it doesn’t drown you.
You hold people softly, and yourself even softer.

You can cry without shame.
You can hold pain without closing.
You can look at your own story and say:

“That hurt me… and I still love me.”

This is the chakra that lets you feel the oneness in everyone, but without losing yourself in the crowd.

This one’s subtle.
You don’t force it open.
You invite it.

Breathe into your chest. Expand your ribcage. Feel your body from the inside.
Hug people longer.
Tell people how you feel even when it’s terrifying.
Sit with grief instead of running from it.
Pet your dog like you mean it.
Forgive yourself for not healing faster.
Listen to music that cracks you open.
Say “I love you” to your own name.

This chakra opens when you’re honest about your hurt and stay open anyway.

The heart is not soft.
It is not weak.
It is not fluffy.

The heart is the fiercest organ in your system.

It pumps blood every second of your life, moves love through every layer of your being,
and still makes space for the ones who hurt you, because you’d rather heal than harden.

This is your emotional motherboard.
And when it’s online?

You remember that being human isn’t a punishment.
It’s the point.
