CHAPTER SIX

Expressed

THE THROAT GATEWAY (Throat Chakra)

If the heart is the engine of emotion, the throat chakra is the speaker system.

Called Vishuddha, this energy center sits right at your throat, and it governs truth, communication, authenticity, self-expression, integrity, and the ability to speak what matters.

This is the place where inner becomes outer.
Where what you feel becomes what you say.

This chakra is the difference between “I’m fine” and “I’m scared, but I want to talk about it.”

When it’s blocked, you hold back.
You downplay.
You perform instead of express.
You overthink everything you say.
You avoid conflict like it’s radioactive.
You struggle to say no, even when everything in you screams it.
You nod, smile, and swallow your truth.

Or you swing the other way. You speak too much, too fast, trying to prove yourself.

A blocked throat doesn’t just affect your words.
It affects your identity.
Because if you never speak your truth… how does anyone, including you, know who you are?

When it’s open, you speak clearly and cleanly.
Not to dominate. Not to impress.
Just to be real.

You say what’s hard without needing it to be loud.
You express emotion without apology.
You’re comfortable with silence because you’re not afraid of what might fill it.
You ask for what you need.
You hold space for others to do the same.

This chakra, when balanced, is honest, not harsh.
It’s direct, not aggressive.
It’s you, without performance.

This is the first chakra that depends heavily on daily choice.

Speak your truth even when your voice shakes.
Sing out loud, even if you think you can’t sing.
Write your truth when you’re scared to speak it.
Breathe deep into your throat and exhale like you mean it.
Practice saying no without defending yourself.
Ask questions you don’t know the answers to.
Share things that matter, even if they’re messy.
And most importantly: Mean what you say. Say what you mean. And let that be enough.

The throat chakra doesn’t just help you talk.
It helps you live in alignment with your inner world.

This is where suppressed becomes spoken.
Where fear becomes articulation.
Where the pain you buried in silence finally gets a name.

Your voice is not decoration.
It’s not a feature.
It’s not a luxury.

Your voice is a tool of truth.

Use it with care.
Use it with courage.
But most of all, use it.
