CHAPTER ELEVEN
Monsters, Magic, and One Hell of a Halloween
THIS ONE WASN'T just a mystery. It was magic. Literal magic.
It started on Halloween. Costumes, candy, corn mazes, all the good stuff. But when a cheap stage magician named Krudsky tried to steal the spotlight at a carnival, things went sideways fast. He wasn’t just bad at magic, he was bad with it. Until he found some real power.
Real power. As in, mystical, ancient, out-of-this-world power. Krudsky got his hands on a magical scepter, and before you could say “zoinks,” he was on a mission to steal the Goblin King’s magic and take over both the mortal world and the supernatural one.
Fred, Daphne, and Velma stayed behind to figure things out from this side of reality. But Scooby and Shaggy? They got launched into the world beyond, the world beneath. A secret realm of goblins, witches, banshees, and enchanted taxis that flew through the night like broomsticks.
And you know what?
They fit right in.
The whole journey played like a dream. Scooby and Shaggy went from clowns to champions, not just running away from monsters, but fighting to save a whole world from tipping into darkness. The Goblin King himself was this towering, booming figure. Powerful but fair. He ruled with chaos and wisdom. And when the time came, he trusted them to protect his realm.
It was one of those times when the stakes weren’t just high, they were cosmic. It wasn’t just about unmasking a villain. It was about keeping the balance between worlds.
They stopped Krudsky. Barely. The magic was returned. The barrier held. And when they got back, the sun was rising on Halloween morning. No one believed them. Of course not.
Except maybe Velma. Just a little.
Because some stories don’t need proof. They just need to be remembered.
And sometimes, the most cowardly-looking heroes are the ones fate picks to guard the gates between worlds.
Scooby and Shaggy? They were the real deal.
And in the distance, just for a moment, someone could’ve sworn they saw a goblin wave goodbye.
