CHAPTER EIGHT
The Cycle Breaks Here
YEAH, KARMA’S REAL.
The Guru doesn’t deny that.
Every action leaves a mark. Every life shapes the next. You come into the world with baggage you don’t remember packing, and you leave with bags you didn’t know you were carrying.
You’re not just born once. You’re born again and again, pulled forward by your own past, stuck chasing things you think will free you and never do.
Then you die. And you start over.
That’s the loop.
The Guru doesn’t say this to scare you.
It says it to wake you up.
Because you don’t have to keep going around.
The whole message of the Granth is that you can break the cycle. You don’t have to keep spinning in illusion. You don’t have to wait for some better future life. You don’t have to wait for death to be saved.
Mukti, liberation, is possible now.
Right here.
Right in this body.
Right in this breath.
The Guru says if you remember the Naam, if you really remember it, not just say it with your mouth but let it live in you, then something starts to unravel.
The ego gets quiet. The illusion thins. The noise fades.
You’re no longer bound by the stuff that used to rule you.
Desire doesn’t grip you the same way.
Fear doesn’t own you.
Your past doesn’t define you.
The next life doesn’t haunt you.
Because the One is already here.
You were never separate.
And now you know it.
That’s liberation.
This is where the Guru turns everything inside out.
Most people think religion is about earning a good afterlife.
The Granth says: No. Wake up in this life.
Most people think karma is destiny.
The Guru says: You’re not chained. You’re asleep.
The second you stop trying to escape, and just sit with the Word, you realize you were already free.
You just forgot.
The soul keeps moving if it stays caught in ego and illusion.
That’s the truth.
You don’t escape just by dying.
You escape by merging.
The drop returns to the ocean. The self returns to the Self.
The soul becomes one with the One. Not later, not someday, but now.
That’s what the Guru offers.
That’s what the Granth keeps saying.
You’ve been spinning for lifetimes.
But the cycle breaks here.
