What the Bhagavad Gita Actually Says
Chapter Fifteen - Divine and Demonic
Section 15 of 17
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Divine and Demonic
“THERE ARE TWO kinds of people,”
Krishna says.
Those with divine traits.
And those with demonic.
The divine are born for liberation:
Truthful.
Peaceful.
Humble.
Disciplined.
Free from hate and greed.
The demonic are born for bondage:
Arrogant.
Violent.
Addicted to desire.
Blind to truth.
They think:
“There is no God.
No order.
No purpose.”
So they chase pleasure and worship their own ego.
They build wealth for power.
They lie, cheat, and destroy to climb higher.
But they never have peace.
Krishna says:
“I throw the demonic into lower births.
Lives of ignorance and pain.
Until they learn.”
The divine path leads up.
The demonic path falls down.
But no one is doomed.
He tells Arjuna:
“Let the scriptures be your guide.
Know what to do.
And what not to do.”
