CHAPTER TEN
The Summit and the Truth
PIP AND BUMBLE stood in silence.
The peak stretched out under a clear sky, soft sunlight bathing everything in gold.
No storms.
No floods.
No giant creatures or talking winds.
Just quiet.
At the very center of the summit sat a single smooth stone.
Small. Ordinary.
Just like Pip.
Pip walked up slowly.
Carved into the stone were words so simple they almost didn’t seem real:
“The journey was the magic.”
Pip stared.
That was it?
No glowing crystal?
No hidden treasure?
Then it hit him.
The friends, the lessons, the courage, the storms, the floods…
that was the magic.
The mountain hadn’t changed him.
He had changed himself.
Bumble came up beside him and read the words aloud.
He smiled.
“You get it now, don’t you?”
Pip nodded.
He looked down at his small, round pebble body and realized something huge:
Being small didn’t mean being powerless.
Being small meant he could go places others couldn’t.
It meant he could survive storms, float through floods, and still stand tall.
The mountain whispered, gentle and soft,
“You were never meant to stay small. You were meant to grow.”
Pip smiled wider than ever before.
“I’m ready to go home, Bumble.”
Bumble chuckled.
“Let’s roll.”
The two friends headed back down the mountain, the sky clear, their hearts full.
Pip had started as just a pebble.
Now he was a legend.
The end…
or maybe just the beginning.
