CHAPTER ONE

The Littlest Stone

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY, so check this out.
This is a story about a pebble. Yeah. Not a mountain, not a boulder, not even like a solid chunky rock.
A pebble.
Like the kind you kick by accident and don’t even notice.
His name was Pip.

Pip lived way up high on Big Mountain (yeah, super original name, right?).
Big Mountain was tall, icy, and proud, and all the big rocks used to say stuff like:

"Look at me, I’m HUGE."
"I’m basically a castle."
"I once flattened a tree, no big deal."

Pip? Pip was like… “uhh, I’m round and small and I barely squish grass.”
Poor little guy.

Every day, Pip just chilled there, staring at the clouds, thinking:
“One day, I wanna go somewhere. Anywhere. I wanna be important. I wanna have an adventure.”

The big rocks laughed.
“YOU? Adventure?” one of them snorted. “You’re basically a grain of sand’s chubby cousin.”

Rude.
But Pip didn’t let it get him down.
Because Pip had hope.
And Pip had time.
And as you’re about to see, when you mix those two? Oh buddy, things get real wild real fast.

The clouds swirled.
The wind whispered.
The ground rumbled.

The adventure?
About to begin.
