No Gold Stars
JESUS DIDN’T HAND out gold stars.
He wasn’t keeping score.
He didn’t say, “Be the best or else.”
He cared more about hearts than charts.
Some people prayed fancy.
Some gave big gifts.
Some talked loud about how holy they were.
Jesus nodded.
Then he sat beside the quiet kid in the back
who gave someone a hug when no one was looking.
He didn’t say, “You’re better.”
He said, “That… was love.”
No gold star could ever mean more than that.
