CHAPTER FIFTEEN
The Clock Without Numbers
THERE’S A CLOCK in your life you’ve never looked at long enough.
Maybe it’s the microwave that always blinks 12:00.
The car dashboard that runs five minutes fast.
The wristwatch you never set properly.
The one in your dreams that ticks backward.
Whatever it is, you never really cared, did you?
But it’s there.
Always.
Slightly wrong.
Slightly off.
It never tells the same time twice when you look at it in a memory.
You can’t picture what it said last.
You try, and it goes fuzzy.
As if something is scrambling the timestamp.
That’s how this book works.
You think you’re tracking time, but the story isn’t following your clock.
It’s following its own.
One not made of numbers.
But of moments.
Moments that fracture you just enough to let the pattern in.
You’ve been nudged into this chapter.
There’s no way to prove it.
But you felt it.
A tilt in your gut.
A twitch in your sense of “now.”
The timing felt right, didn’t it?
That wasn’t intuition.
That was design.
