Chapter Ninety-Nine - The Real Superpower
Section 100 of 102
CHAPTER NINETY-NINE
The Real Superpower
IT WAS NEVER flight. Or strength. Or laser eyes. It wasn’t vibranium, or a healing factor, or a magic hammer only the worthy could lift. The real superpower was choice.
Not fate. Not prophecy. Not accident. Choice.
Peter keeps saving people even when it ruins his life.
Bruce keeps the Hulk from taking over.
Logan stops running.
Wanda faces grief.
Jean sacrifices herself.
Steve throws the shield.
Tony lays down on the wire.
Clark chooses Earth.
Diana chooses peace.
Bruce chooses justice over vengeance.
Barry runs anyway.
Even the villains make choices. Some selfish. Some noble. Some unforgivable. But every story turns on a moment where someone decides.
The costume doesn’t make you a hero. The serum doesn’t make you good. The trauma doesn’t make you bad. It’s the choices that do. And the choice is always there.
Even now. Even for you.
That’s the secret they’ve been trying to tell us. Not how to fly. But how to choose who you are, and do it on purpose.
