What the Watchtower Actually Says
Chapter Nine - No Trinity, No Hell, No Soul
Section 9 of 11
CHAPTER NINE
No Trinity, No Hell, No Soul
THE WATCHTOWER IS clear.
“Jehovah is the only true God.”
“Jesus is His first creation.”
“The holy spirit is not a person.”
The Trinity is false doctrine.
The Watchtower calls it pagan.
“Satan invented the Trinity to confuse mankind.”
“The Bible teaches Jehovah is one.”
“Jesus is His Son, not God.”
Jesus is Michael the Archangel.
Before Earth, He was Michael.
On Earth, He was Jesus.
Now, He reigns as a spirit King in heaven.
“Jesus died, was resurrected as a spirit, and now reigns as King.”
The holy spirit is not God.
It is Jehovah’s active force.
Like electricity. Powerful and impersonal.
“Holy spirit has no will. No voice. No form.”
The soul? Not immortal.
The Watchtower teaches, “The soul is the person. It dies.”
“When you die, you cease to exist.”
There is no hell.
No burning. No torment. No afterlife for the wicked.
“The dead are unconscious.”
“The grave is Sheol, a place of non-existence.”
“God will resurrect those He chooses.”
The wicked?
“They are destroyed forever. No suffering. Just gone.”
These teachings are called “Bible truth.”
They appear in every book, every magazine, every door-to-door conversation.
“Reject the Trinity. Reject hellfire. Reject immortality of the soul.”
“Accept Jehovah. Accept the truth.”
“Live forever, if you obey.”
