CHAPTER ONE Genesis IN THE BEGINNING, God creates the heavens and the earth. There’s no introduction. No explanation. He’s just… there. No origin story. No “before.” The first verse of the Bible starts with power already in motion. And it’s dark. So God speaks, and light appears. He separates light from darkness, names day and night, then moves on.
