CHAPTER EIGHT

What Happens When You Die

ARJUNA WANTS TO know:

“What happens at death?”
“Where does the soul go?”
“How can we reach the highest state?”

Krishna answers:

“Whatever you think of at the moment of death, that is what you become.”

So He says:

“Think of Me.
Always.”

The one who remembers Krishna at the final moment does not return to this world.

He explains the two paths

The Return path is for those who cling to desire.
→ Rebirth. Again and again.
The Escape path is for those who know Him.
→ Freedom. No more return.

Krishna is the Eternal Home.

“Beyond this world is My world.
It is not lit by sun or moon.
It does not fade.
Those who reach it never return.”

He explains God’s nature again:

“I am Time.
I am Death.
I am the destroyer and the sustainer.”

Even the cosmic cycles of creation and destruction are in Him.

He speaks of yogis who train their whole lives.
Breath control, mantra, and meditation, to focus their mind at death.

But He tells Arjuna:

“You don’t need rituals.
You don’t need secrets.
Just remember Me.
And I will receive you.”

The highest path is devotion, Bhakti.

Love God.
Think of Him.
Let go.
