Closure Without the Ending

THE THING IS…
I don’t need closure.

Not in the way people mean when they say it.

I don’t need an apology.
I don’t need a final talk.
I don’t even need a message back.

Because she didn’t break me.
She just highlighted where I was already cracked.
And in loving her, I learned how to seal those lines with gold.

We didn’t get the full arc.
But we got a damn good act one.
And maybe, for this timeline, that’s all it needed to be.

And still…
I’d get coffee with her tomorrow.

Not to restart.
Not to fix.
Just to sit across from someone who once held a mirror to my soul and didn’t look away.
