CHAPTER FORTY
The Ones Who Came Before – Giants, Watchers, and Whispered Ancients
THEY’RE EVERYWHERE.
- NEPHILIM in Genesis – “sons of God” and “daughters of men,” the heroes of old
- Titans in Greece – the primal forces overthrown by Olympians
- Fomorians in Ireland – distorted sea giants, chaotic and terrifying
- Rakshasas in Hindu myth – powerful beings with strange hunger
- Anakim, Rephaim, Gog and Magog—ancient biblical bloodlines
Sometimes they were:
- Tall
- Strong
- Corrupted
- Wise
- Dangerous
But always?
Pre-human. Pre-history.
In the Book of Enoch, they descend from heaven—angels, watchers, those who were supposed to observe…
but they broke the code.
They:
- Took human wives
- Taught forbidden knowledge
- Gave humanity metallurgy, enchantment, astronomy, and more
- Created hybrid offspring that shattered the balance of the world
The flood?
It wasn’t just wrath.
It was containment.
The Watchers weren’t punished with death.
They were bound beneath the earth.
Their children were wiped out.
It’s a story of disclosure, interference, and divine rebellion.
How do you explain:
- The Pyramid of Giza, aligned with stars to sub-degree precision?
- Ba’albek, with stones so large we still can’t move them?
- Tiwanaku, Göbekli Tepe, Nan Madol, Angkor Wat, Stonehenge, Sacsayhuamán—cut and set with tech we don’t understand?
Ancients said:
“The gods built these.”
Moderns say:
“We don’t know, but it’s probably fine.”
What if the ancients were telling the truth?
What if these weren’t stories of us discovering stone tools—
but of us remembering what the Ones Before already knew?
So many myths speak of worlds before ours:
- Hinduism teaches yugas, vast epochs before this one
- Plato’s Atlantis was just one cycle back
- Hopi prophecy speaks of four worlds—we’re in the fourth
- The Maya encoded previous suns—all ended in disaster
- Norse myth began with ice, fire, and giants—long before man
These weren’t vague.
They were timelocked, cyclical, and clear.
And the ones who came before?
They fell.
Hard.
Theories abound:
- Ancient humans, pre-flood, technologically advanced
- Extraterrestrial visitors
- Interdimensional entities
- Angelic rebellions
- A forgotten age of giants and gods and builders and bloodlines
Maybe they weren’t one thing.
Maybe they were many.
But the stories agree:
They were mighty. They went too far.
And we are what’s left after the cleanup.
The Ones Who Came Before left:
- Ruins
- Whispers
- Symbols in our bones
- And a deep mythic instinct to never do what they did again
They may be gone.
But their story?
Never stopped echoing.
The Book of Enoch—banned from the Bible—is considered canonical in Ethiopian Christianity and tells the most detailed account of the Watchers and their forbidden knowledge.
They walked before fire, fell from the sky, and left temples in the dust. We call them giants, Watchers, monsters, gods. But they were real—and we are their echo.
