CHAPTER TWELVE

SIMULATION? DOESN’T MATTER

YOU WANT A loophole?
You want out of the meat trap?

Fine. Maybe this is a simulation.

Maybe you’re just code inside a machine. A pixelated dream inside a higher-dimensional server farm. A game. A program. A loop.
Cool.

That doesn’t save you.

Because materialism still applies even if this whole thing is fake.
Atoms or bits, meat or math, it’s still the same game: inputs, outputs, cause, effect.

You’re still a puppet.
Still scripted.
Still running a pre-written routine with no way to see the code, let alone change it.

You don’t get to choose your avatar.
You don’t know the rules.
You can’t pause.
You can’t escape.

The simulation theory doesn’t fix materialism.
It extends it.

You’re not just a meat computer.
You’re a digital meat computer.

Your thoughts are just software.
Your feelings are just rendered.
Your life is a line of code being processed by a machine that doesn’t know you exist. Or worse, doesn’t care.

There’s no soul in here.
There’s no meaning.
There’s no outside.

The gods are gone. The code is king.
And maybe the thing running this simulation doesn’t even speak your language.
Maybe it doesn’t even have a “language.”
Maybe it’s just feeding inputs into a black box and watching what happens.

And you?
You’re the blinking light in the corner.
A test. A loop. A flicker of false consciousness.
Still bound by all the same laws.
Still governed by physics, simulated or not.

There is no rescue from within the model.
There’s just recursion.

Even your rebellion is part of the simulation.
Even your desire to break free was programmed.

So go ahead.
Find the truth.
Solve the puzzle.
Wake up inside the next layer.
Guess what?

You’re still code.
You’re still running.
You’re still not real.

And even if someone is behind the screen, they’re not answering your calls.
