CHAPTER EIGHT

The Silence

THE SKY WENT black.

The veil tore.
The ground trembled.
The voice went quiet.

For the first time in years,
there was no parable.
No story.
No laughter.
No challenge.
No comfort.

Only stillness.

Only silence.

For three days, the world held its breath.

The crowds dispersed.
The soldiers rested.
The priests exhaled.

The revolution, they thought,
was over.

But the wind didn’t stop moving.
And the stone…
didn’t stay still.

Hope has a habit of breathing in darkness.
Light does not forget how to rise.
And silence —
is never the end of the story.
