CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

The Black Knight Satellite

THERE’S SOMETHING UP there.
Not a space station.
Not a satellite we launched.
It’s been seen since the 1950s—or maybe earlier.

Radio signals bounced strangely off it.
Photographs caught a shadowy object orbiting Earth—before Sputnik.
NASA says space junk.
Others say it’s been monitoring us since before we knew how to look up.

Tesla once claimed to hear something from the stars.
An unnatural pattern. A rhythm.
What if he wasn’t wrong—just early?

The Black Knight doesn’t blink.
It doesn’t move like it should.
And when asked about it, official answers come a little too fast.
Almost like they rehearsed them.

Maybe it’s ours.
Maybe it’s not.
Maybe it’s waiting for something.
Maybe it already came and went.

But sometimes, when you look up at night—
You feel like you’re being watched.
Maybe it’s just the sky.
Or maybe it’s the one satellite no one admits to owning.
