CHAPTER NINETY-SIX

Rick Sanchez: God in a Lab Coat

HE’S THE SMARTEST man in every universe and he hates every second of it.

Rick Sanchez doesn’t care about your feelings, your planets, your timelines, or your gods. He’s already outsmarted them all, and he did it drunk, bleeding, and mid-burp.

He built a portal gun in his garage. He dismantled reality in his free time. He turned entire civilizations into punchlines. But the science isn’t the scary part. It’s the emptiness behind it.

Because for all his rants and catchphrases, Rick is a hollow man. He doesn’t build to dream, he builds to distract. Infinite realities, endless adventures, and still nothing feels real. Not love. Not family. Not even himself.

Every joke is a coping mechanism. Every experiment is an escape plan. Every “Wubba lubba dub dub” is a cry for help he’ll never admit.

He knows he’s broken. He just won’t fix it. Because to fix it would mean he has to feel it, and Rick doesn’t do feelings.

He keeps Morty close, but never too close. He mocks Jerry because it’s easier than seeing himself in him. He keeps Summer alive just to prove that maybe, just maybe, he’s not too far gone.

Rick is the nightmare of unchecked genius. The god who knows he could save the world, but doesn’t see the point. Because when you’ve solved everything, all that’s left is the pain you were running from in the first place.

He’s not a villain.
He’s not a hero.
He’s Rick.
And that’s the problem.
