CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO

Light Yagami: God in a Notebook

HE WAS TOP of his class, perfect in every subject, admired by teachers and feared by criminals. A golden boy with too much time, too much talent, and a world that bored him.

Then the notebook fell.

One name, one death, and suddenly, Light Yagami had power over life itself. No more slow courts, no more injustice. Just ink, intention, and a god complex waiting to hatch.

At first, it was about justice. He told himself he was cleaning up the world. That every name he wrote was one more evil erased. But it was never about justice. Not really. It was about control.

Light didn’t just want a better world. He wanted to rule it. He wanted people to worship Kira, fear Kira, bow to Kira. Because Kira wasn’t just an idea, Kira was him.

And he almost did it. He outsmarted the police, danced circles around detectives, and even matched wits with the greatest mind on the planet. L was a mirror, and Light shattered it.

But that was the beginning of the end. Because for all his genius, Light forgot the one thing that truly separates a god from a man, restraint.

He didn’t know when to stop. He couldn’t. Every threat had to be erased. Every doubt silenced. Every person, even the ones who loved him, became pawns on his board.

By the time it all came crashing down, there was nothing left of the boy who once thought the world was unfair. Just a madman in a corner, bleeding, broken, begging for a god that never existed.

He was that god.

And he died alone, scribbling names in the dark, still pretending he was righteous.
