Bluster the Bloon and the Pebble That Stayed
Pebble’s Tips for When Someone’s Mean
Section 14 of 15
PEBBLE’S TIPS FOR WHEN SOMEONE’S MEAN
(OR WHEN YOU feel a little mean yourself)
- Everyone’s carrying something.
Bluster wasn’t mean just to be mean. He was floating too high to say why. Sometimes, big feelings make people act small. - You don’t have to fix it. Just notice.
Pebble didn’t shout or scold. She just saw Bluster, really saw him. That made all the difference. - Kindness isn’t quiet or loud, it’s steady.
Being kind doesn’t always mean smiling or saying the perfect thing. Sometimes it just means staying near when someone needs it. - Ask before you add.
Before you join a game, a table, or a conversation, ask. That little pause can turn a pop into a welcome. - If you float too high, find someone to anchor you.
When your head’s in the clouds or your feelings get too big, look for someone who helps you come back down. - If you feel like the meanie… it’s okay.
Everyone has days where they feel grumpy or too full of feeling. You can always try again tomorrow.
Signed with a tiny smile,
Pebble
