Alta Pest Control

PROLOGUE
I ALREADY TOLD this story once. Kind of.
A while back, I wrote a book about what happened. About the company, the lies, the trap I walked into, and the way I clawed out. But I didn’t name names. I played it safe. I changed the names and muted the details. I was scared, honestly. Scared they’d sue me. Scared they’d come after me. Scared they’d win.
But here’s the thing:
They don’t own me. And they never did.
This is the director’s cut. The real version. The one where I say what happened, who did it, and why I walked away. I’m not changing the names. I’m not softening the blows. I’m not going to pretend this was just a “bad experience” or that “not everyone was like that.”
This is a story about Alta Pest Control.
This is about the promises they made. The way they packaged a dream of money, freedom, and growth, and sold it to broke kids who didn’t know better. This is about what I came to recognize as isolation, gaslighting, overwork, manipulation, culty positivity, and corporate coercion dressed up as leadership.
They gave us nothing but slogans. We gave them our lives. And when we burned out, they blamed us.
So yeah, this isn’t a motivational story. This isn’t “how I failed and bounced back.” This is the reckoning. This is the version where I’m not afraid.
They can’t stop me now.
